Mita started with a roll of corrugated cardboard sheet. Her trials with the material led to her making functional pieces like decorative bowls and wall  décor plates which highlighted the intricate pattern of the corrugation. Mita's signature technique involves creating discs from thin cardboard strips and shaping the discs further to create the form that makes up the structure of the products. She describes it as 'pottery with cardboard'. The technique emphasizes using the intrinsic strength of corrugated cardboard in harmony with accentuating the corrugated patterns into a playful rhythm of light and shadows. This leads to making one of a kind lamps and home décor products like bowls, boxes and wall plates.
