Always drawn to intricate work, we started working with galvanized aluminium. We created beautiful art pieces using the centuries-old technique popularly known as tin punching or punched tin art. While traditionally the punched tin techniques were used to create functional pieces, at PUNCHeD we use the technique to create framed punched tin artefacts with Indian motifs and designs.

The pattern is made and then transferred on the galvanized aluminum sheet. Then following the pattern, the punch is hammered ever so lightly to create a depression on the sheet of metal while taking care to not pierce it. Series of such depressions are made to recreate the delicate pattern on the galvanized aluminum sheet.
